NMA Live Video Archive
This is an archive web site introducing the activities of NMA (Now Music Arts), which was prepared for the Sapporo International Art Festival 2017 (August 6 – October 1, 2017).
Based in Sapporo and managed by Numayama Yoshiaki, NMA has organized more than 180 concerts introducing avant-garde music since 1983, featuring in excess of 230 groups.
We hope that this archive will provide you with an opportunity to find various musical expressions that have been introduced to Sapporo, and to feel the attitude and enthusiasm Numayama Yoshiaki brings to avant-garde expressions.
At the Shiryokan venue of the Sapporo International Art Festival 2017 (August 6 – October 1, 2017), a special exhibition space for the live video archive of NMA has been established, where visitors can search and see live videos that have been recorded in NMA projects over the last 30 years. Advertising literature and newspaper and magazine clippings about events are also on display. You can enjoy the video archive in the space inspired by the studio of Numayama Yoshiaki, and take home a free leaflet about the activities of NMA. Please visit the venue.
